In other news, my beloved Canon Digital Elph digital camera broke - sort of. The camera functionality is broken, though the movie recording and playback modes both work. Same thing as broken to me. Luckily I have another Digital Elph (same kind but quite a bit larger unfortunatly) and my father's-turned-mine Minolta Dimage digital camera. After several things, a good part reading and viewing the stuff of a professional photographer's deviantart page (+cweeks), felt somewhat disapointed in myself that I never bothered to even really give manual camera controls a real try - that there was more manual control to a work beyond Photoshop (though as you can see I really do love that program.) I would play around with the Dimage (back when I was made to choose either it or the Elphs) and get frustrated because I had no idea what anything did, and then go back to the automatic elph cameras. So far it's been interesting - it will clearly take me a long while to get into the swing of it but I can already see that occuring. To make it harder on myself, albeit unintentionally, the moonlit nights recently have inspired me to attempt to photography them with the Dimage - which I hear can be a difficult task in general to begin with.
Hopefully I'll be working at Camp Hope soon, and that should bring some beautiful photos as the camp is right on a huge natural lake - largest one in Connecticut - and has an amazing campus. Should also provide me some great video as it always does as well.
